This timer only lasted 2 months. I bought it at Home Depot for around $16. The timer broke when I attempted to tighten the hose attachment.

If you are going to use this item, treat it very gently.

Just bought two of these 9300GF timers at Menards today, they have them for [...], 7/10/09-7/26/09 so far they both are working fine, will be giving them a good test as I have just finished spreading 66 yards of topsoil and reseeded the lawn.

I have been using these mechanical water timers for several years and find that they are a great way to drip-water plants or water the lawn or refill the swimming pool for up to a 2 hour period of time. They operate like your kitchen timer–just set the time and they turn off at the time that you set them to turn off. Most mechanical water timers that I have used in the past depend on how high the water pressure is to shut off, so they won’t shut off for drip watering or have the sprinkler on low. We are supposed to use much less water this summer because of drought conditions, and this is my way to not forget to shut off the sprinkler. I could not find them at Lowe’s or Home Depot, where I have bought them in the past, so I thought it was great to order them on Amazon.com. I am very satisfied with the service.

This timer did not work. Instead of shutting the water off after an appropriate amount of time, it leaves the water on forever and ever. It doesnt mater what you set it at, the water stays on forever. For my front yard I brought another brand and it works great…do not buy the gilmour brand timer

I was so glad to find a good old fashioned manual timer. It is very difficult to find these in hardware stores anymore. Even the big ones. I am sick of the digital, hard to program, breakdown all the time stuff. I really liked this product and it was exactly what I was looking for.
