i have a common basil herb, why would you want to dry the leaves, its always best to use the leaves freshly picked

thank you. I’ve always wondered how to dry herbs. I usually just let them die at the end of the season. Now I can have them all winter and spring.

no, if you wash them they get all soggy. Blow any dirt off.
